Notes from the quarterly meeting

Here are a few additional notes from our quarterly meeting. By the way, if you haven't been keeping up with Kupperman's (he's the guy who created Snake and Bacon) TALES DESIGNED TO THRIZZLE, you're missing out on the best comic/cartoon book ever.

There are plenty of things to not like about moving, but one great thing is going through old boxes while unpacking and finding stuff you haven't seen in a few years. Here's a random photo from a trip to Japan in 2003. Wait, was it 2002?

New patterns and other stuff on FLICKR (and music stuff)

I find Flickr to be a much easier way to organize my portfolio into different sections. I'll make a permanent like soon, but for now check out my flickr sets here

Upcoming comic in Xeric grant funded anthology!

A while back I was asked to contribute a comic to an upcoming anthology called Ghost Comics. Because of financial set backs, the anthology was put off, until a few weeks ago when it was awarded a Xeric grant. Looks like it will be coming out soon.

Spoiler: I did a verrrry short comic about two rabbits house hunting.

Let's catch up, shall we?

I've been a little quiet on the blog front for the past week or so. Why, you ask? Well, I've been working non stop! Things have been hectic here, but that's good because it means people like my little drawings.

Here's a little sneak peek of one of the children's books I'm working on:

In the meantime, check out the site for the EXQUISITE BOOK. I'm actually up to bat right now, and need to have my final artwork turned in by April first. Be sure to look through the other artists' sites for some really great stuff.

I did take a short break last night to watch Amelie with the family. It had been a few years since I'd seen it, and I had honestly forgotten how good that movie is. It happened to be the first full-length movie (cartoon or otherwise) that Allister had ever sat all the way through. I know what you're thinking if you've seen the movie, and yes we did cover her eyes during some of the more adult sequences. Not really. Speaking of Allister...here's a recent photo that our photographer friend, William, took:



Also, one more thing. I'm about to start adding new prints to my ETSY shop. If there are any images that you've really liked in the past and you'd like to see them as prints, please let me know!

Charlie Harper's Studio

Charlie Harper is definitely one of my favorite illustrators, so I was excited to find these images of his studio space this morning here. Look how cluttered his workspace is!
