Okay, so Allister crawling is old news. Sorta. So, the big news now is that she has a tooth coming in (for real this time). It's just starting to creep out from her lower gums. Pretty soon, she's going to be looking like a hillbilly. Here are some recent "crawling" pictures: Notice the tears from teething in this one:
Okay, so this is a little late BUT better late than even later, right? This is, of course, a peruvian witch doctor's (Dr Carl) sketch rendering of Allister while she was still in the womb. I was really impressed with how well he captured (on two synced etch-a-sketches) her nose, eyes, and the text that's always floating around her.
Seriously, though...it's impossible to believe that this was already almost a year ago. Allister is SEVEN months old now. She's crawling, and laughing, and eating real people food (well, mashed up real people food). She's even starting to sleep on her stomach. Allister, whenever you're older and you read this I just want you to know: You were a pretty good kid, but you still owe us big time. Go fetch me a sandwich!
One of our new favorite spots here in DC is the National Building Museum in NW. The building itself is huge, with a massive common area on the inside that's great for kids to play. While Rachel looked at the very boring exhibit on chair design, Allister and I sat and watched a group of people build an arch out of foam brick things.
I just got back from Chicago, where I spent 4 very frigid days with Matt Little, Josh Branham, and the Forbes duo. My camera wasn't working, so here's a picture from Josh:
